Cutaneous Microdialysis is an in–vivo sampling technique that allows the measurement of compounds (unbound concentrations of endogenous and exogenous substances) in the intertitial fluid space of the skin.
The main objective is to assess the relationship between concentration/exposure of free drug and efficacy/response as well as the impact of the formulation/galenic, dose and volume applied on the penetration-distribution of the active ingredient in the dermis.
